MEET ROBYN
Proven leader with integrity and willingness to listen
My family and I moved to Oswego in 2004 because we loved the small-town feel and the friendly residents. Since then I’ve watched the village grow in both population and diversity, and while it’s not a small town anymore, it still has the same great sense of community. During that time, I have been an active member of several Oswego 308 district-wide committees. I’ve met hundreds of residents and listened and shared their concerns. In these conversations, regardless of political persuasion, I have found much common ground:
-
We believe the residents of Kendall County deserve trustworthy and dedicated elected officials. I will work with integrity on your behalf and strive to be a responsible steward of the county’s resources.
-
We believe that the burden of property taxes is too high for County residents. I will fight for economic development to ease the burden on homeowners. While the Board has done a good job holding the levy steady, there’s more we can do to attract new businesses and ease the burden of property taxes we share.
-
We believe that safe neighborhoods are vital to the well-being of our residents. I will partner with law enforcement and residents to implement community safety measures that decrease criminal activity.
My professional background includes over ten years of corporate management. I have served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit groups and am an active member of the Kiwanis of Oswego, where I serve as Treasurer. In these roles, I have worked with multiple agencies and charities on joint projects. I am a founding member of the Democratic Women of Kendall County and the current President. I am also an elected Precinct Committeewoman for Oswego 23. These experiences have given me the necessary management, oversight, and collaborative skills required of a County Board member.
I look forward to hearing from you to learn what issues are important to you and how I can better represent you on the County Board.
